The standard engine in the new 1500 is a 305-horsepower V6 that serves up 269 pound-feet of torque and gets an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on Tennessee and Georgia highways.
If you crave more power, a more robust V8 and turbodiesel are also available. The Hemi V8 produces nearly 400 horsepower and delivers 410 pound-feet of torque. The turbodiesel delivers 420 pound-feet of torque and gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg on the highway.
